Autumn has officially started and winter is getting closer. So what should definitely not be missing? Exactly, a heater. But it's far too important to us to tinker around with it ourselves, but we didn't want to give the bus all the way to the workshop. After all, we also want to know how everything works when we're on the road. Of course, if everything is installed perfectly, nothing should happen on the way, but you never know... The very best solution then came up super quickly:
“Din Busmech” – the mobile workshop offers everything that makes the DIY campervan heart beat faster. You can lend a hand yourself without any previous knowledge, and together everything is implemented very professionally.
Thanks to his knowledge and the huge, mobile workshop trailer, Dominic is actually able to solve spontaneous problems quickly and easily. In our case, this means that even a tank that was actually only removed in order to be able to install the auxiliary heating was vacuumed for rust particles. Or that we were able to overhaul the entire power installation more professionally... we tripled the battery capacity, because otherwise charging the countless batteries (cameras, laptop and screen, etc.) would have been quite tedious.
After just one day, building a set from a hundred thousand individual parts and with a few more holes in the floor, the auxiliary heating is already installed. What seemed totally overwhelming at the beginning turned out to be absolutely feasible. We are definitely excited. Our living space is so small that it heats up incredibly quickly. Hopefully freezing is now a thing of the past... at least when we're on the bus 😉
